FormID: 010506D7 WFNQ02 10 0 Arkyon has hired me to bring the diamond to Melvin Branch in Windfall so it can be made into a ring. In addition to the diamond, I need to bring Melvin a gold nugget to make the setting. Arkyon did give me 50 septims to buy a nugget, but if acquired a nugget in some other manor Arkyon doesn't want to know about it. I like the way this mer thinks. Well, at least I know why he wanted the diamond. Now I wonder what the ring is for?

FormID: 010506D7 WFNQ02 20 0 I brought everything to Melvin, as Arkyon asked. It looked like Melvin was all set to make the ring, then he recognized the diamond. Personally, I don't think he believes in the curse at all. I think he just saw an opportunity to get a little extra for the job. He wants to be on the Windfall Chamber of Commerce. Perhaps I could make a few inquiries for him. I'll find Dolores Plentius and see what the problem is. Maybe this can be settled quickly.

FormID: 010506D7 WFNQ02 30 0 Now I understand Melvin's problem. No matter what she calls it, Dolores wants a bribe. 500 spetims, or 10 gold nuggets. He obviously can't afford it, or he would have paid it already. That leaves me with a choice. I can pay the 500 septims, a hefty price and well above what Arkyon is paying. I can hunt up 10 gold nuggets, another trip to one of the mines perhaps. Or I can go back and tell Arkyon he's not getting his ring.
__Melvinの抱える問題がわかった。明言はしなかったがDoloresは賄賂を要求している。500Ｇかgold nuggetを十個。明らかに彼に払える額ではない、もしくはすでに支払っているのだろう。選択肢は3つある。500Ｇを支払うか、どこかの鉱山でgold nuggetを拾ってくるか、Arkyonのところに戻って指輪が手に入らないことを伝えるかだ。
FormID: 010506D7 WFNQ02 40 0 DP Spendit Fund my foot. Dolores wanted a bribe, pure and simple. I put and end to it, but I had to use my position as Count of Windfall to do it. Even though it solved a problem for Melvin, and therefore Arkyon, it certainly did not make me any friends in the Castle. I can't do anything about Dolores today, if I can do anything about it at all. I may as well head back to Melvin and get the ring made.

FormID: 010506D7 WFNQ02 41 0 I decided to pay the bribe out of my own money. Sometimes I am amazed at my own generosity. At least Melvin has his seat, now I can get the ring made. Some night I will have to visit her house and get myself a refund, maybe a little interest as well.

Looking at the ring, it doesn't really look like something that would be used to make a magical ring. I think I may have an idea of why Arkyon wanted this ring made.

Possibly about another job. These are actually pretty nice people, if I can just forget the fact that they play with dead bodies. Creepy. Nice, but definitely creepy.

Of course when Arkyon does finally send someone to Windfall to collect the diamond, he will be in for a bit of a shock. Even though I would love to see the look on is face, I should be long gone by then. In the meantime, he has another job for me, maybe I can pick up some more quick cash.

FormID: 010506D7 WFNQ02 63 0 Arkyon seemed very disappointed that I did not bring the ring. I do fell badly for him, he is a very nice mer, but I did everything I could. Didn't I? What more could have been expected of me? I am comfortable with the job I did. Arkyon must be as well, he does want to hire me for another job. Time to move on. I'll find out what else he wants done and forget about this job.
