My farm was failing and I needed money to support my family. Unable to find enough work, I tried my hand at adventuring. One day while searching I found a cave with a few goblins about. I managed to elude them and discovered a portal. I left to find out more about this portal. No records exist. No information about who built it or why. This piqued my curiosity, hoping it would lead to the wealth I needed to provide for my family and keep my farm going. I returned to the portal, avoiding the goblins, or so I thought. As I approached the portal, I was ambushed. My escape being cutoff, I entered the portal. But my wounds are too great and I have no potions to heal with. Now I lie here, alone in the dark, waiting for death to find me. I will never know where this cave leads, or if it would have saved my family and farm. I will never see my family again. Never have a chance to say goodbye, and tell them that I love them. Take what you want, I have no use for it. I ask only, if you are an adventurous type, continue my journey and see where these caves go. <br>

私が経営する農場は景気が悪く、家族を養うには別口での稼ぎが必要でした。しかし満足できる仕事はなく、私は冒険者として腕を振るうようになりました。ある日の探索中のこと。私は、洞穴とその周りに数匹のGoblinを発見しました。私はその坑道のことが気にかかり、徘徊する彼らに気付かれないよう注意し一度引き返しました。情報は全くありませんでした。誰がどのような理由でこの坑道を作り上げたのか、その記録すらなかったのです。このことは私の好奇心を刺激し、もしかすると家族や農場を救えるほどの富が眠っているのではないかと、期待は膨みました。私はGoblinから隠れつつ、ふたたび坑道に向かいました。しかし、彼らは待ち伏せをして襲い掛かってきたのです。逃走かなわず、私はこの坑道に逃げ込みました。傷口はかなり深く、手持ちの回復薬では追いつきません。暗がりの中でたったひとり横になり、あとは「死」との遭遇を待つしかないのです。この洞穴がどこに通じているのか、そこに家族や農場を救えるものがあるのか、まったくわかりません。もう家族とは会えないのでしょう。家族にさようならと、愛していると伝えることもかなわないのでしょう。お望みのものがあればどうぞ持っていってください。私には不必要です。ただ一つ。もし、あなたが冒険を好む人間であるなら、探索を続けて、この洞穴がどこに通じているのか確認してきてはくれませんか。<br>
