FormID: 01006166 00Dafydd GREETING 0 Say, you look like you've fought your share of monsters. FormID: 01006166 00Dafydd GREETING 1 Doesn't it feel good when your blade slices through the rotten flesh of a zombie or the hide of an ogre? FormID: 01006166 00Dafydd GREETING 2 (Sigh) Life doesn't get any better than that, does it? FormID: 0100539F 00Dafydd GreetingDafydd 0 I have journeyed throughout the lands for the sole purpose of slaying great beasts FormID: 0100539F 00Dafydd GreetingDafydd 1 and hearing the stories of those great heroes known for the same. FormID: 0100539F 00Dafydd GreetingDafydd 2 I also have a tale about a not-so-great hero named Derwayne. It's not his real name, of course, as I've changed it to protect his family's honor. FormID: 0100539F 00Dafydd GreetingDafydd 3 I also have found the weaknesses of different monsters and the best way to kill them. This is information any adventurer could use. FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 0 I'll tell you about the legendary Redguard, Derik, who found the five spirit swords that destroyed the goblin hordes threatening Hammerfell. FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 1 Before his rise to fame, Derik was a humble commoner living during the time of Frandar Hunding, the legendary swordmaster. FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 2 Hunding was never beaten in a duel. Out of thousands of fights, he was always victorious. FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 3 Derik witnessed one of Hunding's duels and was so impressed that he sought to become his student. FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 4 Hunding taught him well, but Derik could never match up to his teacher's expertise. No one could. FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 5 In fact, Hunding began to consider himself as more than a swordmaster. He thought himself a demigod among men. FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 6 One day, while journeying through the mountains of the high desert, a goblin war party attacked the pair. FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 7 As Hunding's squire, Derik carried Hunding's sword, but in this case, the goblins caught them by such surprise that the two were cut off. FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 8 Derik was surrounded by a dozen goblins and Hunding found himself without a weapon. The goblins would not let him pass. FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 9 Hunding could only watch as they closed in on Derik waving their barbed swords, spouting their curses. FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 10 He then closed his eyes and emptied his mind. All fear and anger left him like water flowing from his body. Only stillness remained. FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 11 Then a light shone in Hunding's mind, a new realization of his abilities. FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 12 He did not need the sword that Derik carried. He had a sword, one that stayed with him at all times. It was his spirit. FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 13 That was the point in which Hunding gave up clumsy physical weaponry and began using the [QUOTE]way of the spirit sword[QUOTE]. FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 14 It was also a turning point in Derik's life, for though the goblin war party was defeated, FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 15 He recognized both the threat that goblins posed and the power of the spirit sword. He would go on to save Hammerfell. FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 16 Hunding would go on to retire from life and write the Book of Circles, the tome of the sword-singers. FormID: 010053A1 00Dafydd DerikandHunding 17 Both lived heroic lives and changed the course of history. Their examples are things that we can all strive for. FormID: 010053AF 00Dafydd HowtoKillanOgre 0 I have a few tips on slaying monsters. One is on ogres, who I've dealt with extensively. FormID: 010053AF 00Dafydd HowtoKillanOgre 1 Ogres are as big as houses and stronger than most anything else lurking out there in the wilderness. But they do have a weakness. FormID: 010053AF 00Dafydd HowtoKillanOgre 2 Poison made by a shady alchemist or knowledgeable assassin can bring those things to their knees! FormID: 010053AF 00Dafydd HowtoKillanOgre 3 I've found the best poison is made of nightshade, imp gall, tiger lily nectar, and bread. It will hurt them and make them very weak. FormID: 010053AF 00Dafydd HowtoKillanOgre 4 But, you have to really be a master at making such concoctions before you can figure out how to brew such a toxin. FormID: 010053AF 00Dafydd HowtoKillanOgre 5 I actually have some of this poison on me if you want to give it a try. I'll offer you a reasonable price for it. FormID: 01005A85 00Dafydd HrothgarandtheDaedra 0 Did you know that most daedra are hardly harmed by fire at all? FormID: 01005A85 00Dafydd HrothgarandtheDaedra 1 They are, however, weak against lightning, so if you have any spells that shock people, they will be very useful against them. FormID: 01005A85 00Dafydd HrothgarandtheDaedra 2 There was one time when Hrothgar of Bruma encountered a conjurer in the wilderness. FormID: 01005A85 00Dafydd HrothgarandtheDaedra 3 This villain summoned a great reptilian beast called a Daedroth to fight for him, but Hrothgar knew his magic, so he focused on the mage. FormID: 01005A85 00Dafydd HrothgarandtheDaedra 4 He knew that if he killed the mage, the monster would go back to Oblivion. Unfortunately, the beast was too powerful and would not let him pass. FormID: 01005A85 00Dafydd HrothgarandtheDaedra 5 It blew fire at him and took a large bite out of his armor. Hrothgar landed his own blow with his mighty war hammer, but it seemed to do nothing. FormID: 01005A85 00Dafydd HrothgarandtheDaedra 6 Again and again, he pounded at the beast, but it hardly seemed to flinch. And then the Daedroth knocked the hammer from his hand. FormID: 01005A85 00Dafydd HrothgarandtheDaedra 7 Unarmed, Hrothgar dodged both blow and fire trying to reach his weapon, but it was futile. FormID: 01005A85 00Dafydd HrothgarandtheDaedra 8 He then remembered a small dagger he found earlier, so he drew that from his pack. A small electrical current ran up the blade. FormID: 01005A85 00Dafydd HrothgarandtheDaedra 9 He stabbed at the creature with the pitiful weapon, not thinking it would do anything, but the beast howled in pain and fell. FormID: 01005A85 00Dafydd HrothgarandtheDaedra 10 It quickly disappeared, leaving only the bewildered conjurer to run off in fear. FormID: 01005A85 00Dafydd HrothgarandtheDaedra 11 This should show you what power lightning has over the Daedra, so be sure to use it. FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 0 This song is usually a crowd pleaser... FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 1 If you see a ball glow in the air. FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 2 Make sure to get the heck out of there. FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 3 For it is evil, tried and true. FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 4 And it will put an end to you. FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 5 A Wood Elf archer named Derwayne FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 6 Met one and was never quite the same FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 7 It touched him and made his brain numb FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 8 He became stupid; it made him dumb. FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 9 He forgot how to knock an arrow FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 10 So, he stared blankly at his bow FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 11 What a sight to see this poor elf FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 12 Load it up and just shoot himself! FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 13 Now he was both dumb and bleeding FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 14 His body and mind took a beating FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 15 The wisp gave him another jolt FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 16 To make the point that he's a dolt FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 17 He should have run from this bad thing FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 18 Now he can remember nothing FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 19 Of how to fight or how to flee FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 20 He just stands and stares stupidly FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 21 So that's the tale of sad Derwayne FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 22 A life ended dense and in pain FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 23 So avoid glows that make you dumb FormID: 01005A8E 00Dafydd DerwayneandtheWisp 24 Lest you become another one.
