I feel as if the normal order of things has been reversed. It's this world, and it's rules of society and morality, which got to me. To us. How can I explain?

In most daedric societies indulging in carnal desires is something that isn't, well, very special. Daedra don't have to worry about unwanted children, and the responsibilities and consequences associated with them. In a way enjoying each other's bodies is much more common than anything else.

Most of what we did was, from the viewpoint of classical daedric societies, in the wrong order. Spiritbounds also aren't that uncommon, because most of us will grasp any straw that will help us to prevent banishment. In the days after Shade Perilous' fall I pondered for a long time if my fate would have been the same in case I had coupled with one of the residents. I can't remember why I didn't do it. Maybe I was too proud. Maybe there weren't any candidates. Or I wasn't the canditate for the others. This is - fortunately - history.

Companionship, living together with another being, well. It is uncommon, but not rare. The realms of Oblivion are endless, and there is enough room for everyone. Still, if you're on good terms with another one, love to enjoy more carnal activities, sharing places can happen. It's also good for one's spirit - ever met one of the Nocturnals who lived by herself for a few centuries? No good. Or just take a look at the Stranded Light: None lives alone, which they could have achieved through a different use of the ruin.

Friendship though, friendship is rare. As an immortal you cannot get too attached to fleeting things, be it worldly possessions or affections of others.

In my past I had a few nights of passion, but I never bonded with anyone, nor did I share a home with someone or even declared someone a friend. With us everything went the other way around. First friendship, the most precious gift between immortals, then becoming roomies, then a spiritcoupling and at last living out our lust.

A strange turn of events, but none I'm unhappy about. I've found you. Friend, companion, spiritmate, lover. Know that for you I'm always going to lift my tail.
