25th of Rains Hand, Year 1, Era of Hyreechus
Soon I should arrive at my destination, the Tameekin Cathedral. The road has been long and difficult. Several of my escorts have perished along the way. I will miss Adellia, it will be hard to find a servant as good. The rest served their purpose, without them I might have been hurt. I think some of my escorts are angry that I would not stop to give the dead a proper burial. It could not be helped. The delay might have exposed me to further danger.
After tomorrow it will not matter anyway. With my personal servants dead, only I will be remaining at the cathedral. The rest of my traveling party will be returning to my old church. The little rats have already refused to stay until I can find new help. It may make life in my new home difficult until I can replace my servants. Once the locals realize how important I am, they will surely offer their best to ensure I am well cared for. Hopefully their best will be good enough. You never know with these back woods types.
Perhaps I should have brought my wife and children with me? No, they would only have held me back. Better that I left them behind. They did please me for a while, but I have tired of them. Now they would only stand between me and my destiny. Perhaps it would have better if I had never married?

4th of Second Seed, Year 1, Era of Hyreechus
I have finally arrived at my new home. My first impressions of the village are not good. The church has a lot of nerve sending ME to administer to a place such as this. Quite honestly this village doesn稚 look wealthy enough to warrant a mission, let alone a cathedral. Is it possible the church discovered my plan to form my own church and sent me here to prevent it? Unlikely, none of them have the brain power needed to understand my plots. If they did, they would know that starting in this small village would only delay the inevitable for a short time. In reality, this will help my cause. The humbler the beginnings, the greater the feats.
The Cathedral itself is impressive, almost worthy of being called my home. I wonder what sort of religious conspiracy caused such a cathedral to be built in this dump of a village. Perhaps some prophet foresaw my coming and connived to have my home ready for my arrival. Maybe the fates just saw fit to bring us together. It doesn稚 really matter; here I am and here it is. The villagers that I have seen look hardy, and used to hard work, if not so bright. I am confident I can get them to do the work needed to make the cathedral worthy of me. It must be truly grand, this is where the greatest religion ever shall begin, and I will be its founder, its God!

5th of Second Seed, Year 1, Era of Hyreechus
My first morning in my new home began with two panicked villagers waking me from a sound sleep. I suppose they should be forgiven for that, the village Chief sent them to summon me. I sent one back with word that I would call on the Chief after I had risen and been properly fed. I had the other one make my breakfast and draw a bath. I took extra time having breakfast while I contemplated how to deal with the audacity of the Chief. Who does he think he is? Has he no respect? How dare he summon me like one of his servants?
After my bath, I strolled over to the Chief痴 home. The messengers claimed he and the Warlord were sick. Upon my arrival I saw two men lying in sick beds. Puss weeping sores covered their bodies. The Warlord was unconscious, but the Chief was able to talk. I explained that the standard church cures would be useless for his ailment. I have my own cures which would save his life. However, since the church has banned my cure I have precious little of it. Perhaps I could be persuaded to part with some it, if the village would agree to build a lab for me so I could create more of it. Otherwise, I could give him something for the pain. Then I left without waiting for a response.
Work crews arrived at the cathedral within the hour. They were eager to find out what I needed done. After I got the crews started building a lab in the Cathedral basement, I returned to the Chief and Warlord with the new potion I have been wanting to test. I gave a full dose to the Chief and the Warlord. I also gave half a dose to each of their wives and explained that this was to prevent the spread of the ailment. I will need to return periodically to monitor my test subjects.

15th of Mid Year, Year 1, Era of Hyreechus
My new lab is finished. The villagers are hard workers. I did not think they could finish as quickly as they did. Now I can proceed with my work on the potions. I have been checking in on the Chief and the Warlord. My potion worked better than expected. The Chief is up and around again. His ailment seems completely cured. Not only are the sores gone, but old scars are disappearing as well. Amazingly he also looks younger, color is returning to his hair, and his skin is smoothing. The Chief is now giving me the respect I deserve.
The Warlord is recovering as well. It will not be long before he is swinging his axe better than before. The appreciation in his manner was obvious. He will be useful when the time comes. Interestingly enough both wives are with child. I have no idea if this related to my cure, but I explained the gods are blessing them as my faithful followers. The saps believed every word of it.

29th of Frost Fall, Year 1, Era of Hyreechus
It has been months since anything of note has happened. The villagers have expanded the basement so I can have an infirmary next to my lab. I have continued to improve my cures. I use it exclusively to administer to the sick and wounded. Several months ago I also began mixing my potion with the water used in the wedding ceremonies. Most brides become pregnant shortly after being married.
I use my sermons to point out that the church has lost its way. That I follow the true faith. I point to the miracles of my cures, and that it has been banned by the church. That the high fertility rate is a blessing from the gods for following me, the true faith. The village now firmly believes they are blessed as my faithful followers. Soon I will have no need of the church. My religion is beginning. I serve only the gods, and soon I will have no need of them. I will be a god!

15th of Evening Star, Year 1, Era of Hyreechus
The Warlord is beginning to interest me. He has been wounded a couple of times, and I have treated him with my cure each time. I have noted that with each treatment his strength increases and his mind dulls. As his mind dulls, his loyalty to me increases and is now unquestioned. His last wound was the most interesting. The gash in his leg was deep and the flesh hung from his leg like a piece of meat on a hook. The flesh looked brown like rotted meat left out too long. There was a stench from the wound that reminded of a decaying corpse. It was slight, but unmistakable. I covered the wound tightly to keep anyone else from noticing it. The wound healed over time, but it took longer than usual. Amazingly, the wound did not seem to bother him. There was little pain, and no loss of mobility. I need to find some test subjects so I can try stronger versions of my potions, I need to test the long term results.

7th of First Seed, Year 2, Era of Hyreechus
Several weeks ago some travelers stopped by. They were looking for shelter. With the help of the Warlord, I subdued them. Now they are test subjects. Since they are outsiders, I was more aggressive with my experiments. At stronger doses, the body becomes very strong, while the mind becomes equally weak. Ironically as the mind weakens, the subjects become bonded to my commands. I could subjugate entire populations, if I could mix a strong enough dose with the water supply.
The Warlord has become my personal bodyguard now. Maybe someday, I will remember to ask him his name. I have sent him with a small party to recruit some followers from the surrounding lands. These new recruits will work directly for me as I prepare to spread my control from the village to the surrounding countryside. Soon nothing will be able to stop me.

21st of Rain痴 Hand, Year 2, Era of Hyreechus
The church has heard of my spreading religion. They have sent representatives to negotiate my return to the church. The church completely misunderstands the power of religion. They believe religion should care for the faithful, in the service of the gods. What have the gods done for us? No!! Religion, like government, exists to further its glory and that of its leaders. The real power of religion is in the hands of the leaders. Which are my hands now.
I have renounced the church, it serves no purpose for me. My religion has begun. The village is mine to command. I have already sent the armed faithful to surrounding lands. Those who join will be given my potion. Through them I will raise an army. I have some time. It will take time for the church to realize their representatives are not coming back. The Warlord and his men have 田onvinced・the representatives to volunteer themselves for experiments.

3rd of Mid Year, Year 2, Era of Hyreechus
I have tested an even stronger version of my potion, and I have seen the results. The body becomes almost indestructible, but the mind dies. The test subjects are almost walking dead. They have no power of thought, but the body is exceedingly strong. Unfortunately the bodies are beginning to show signs of rot, but that doesn稚 seem to really affect them.
The new subjects show no mental powers. I devised a new test to check their awareness. I mounted a knife into a table so the blade was sticking straight up. The knife was positioned near the edge of the table, with boxes below the table. I asked one of the test subjects to pickup of the boxes. The woman moved to the table and bent over to get the boxes. When she bent over, she rammed her face directly into the knife while trying to get the boxes. She showed no signs of realizing the danger the knife posed. At first she tried to straighten up while holding the box. When she could not, she put the box and pried herself off the knife. Then she picked up the box and moved it to the new location. When she turned, I could see one of her eyes simply dangling from the socket. She never tried to wipe the small amount of blood that ran down her face. Much to my amusement, she did exactly the same thing when she tried to pick up the second box. This time her other eye stuck to the knife when to pry herself off. As much as I enjoyed this spectacle, I have too few subjects to continue enjoying myself in this way. I did have several laughs as she bumped into everything while trying to move the box with no working eyes. I have equipped a few with weapons and ordered them to kill anyone that enters the lab. They will make fearless warriors.
I have given a full dose to everyone in my army. They will make ideal warriors. They will kill anyone or anything that I command them to, and with no concern for their own safety. I have spread my power and now control the region. This is, of course, just the beginning. Someday I will rule the world, which is more befitting of someone of my stature. My army is now strong enough to defeat anything the church sends against me, except maybe the Legion itself.

12th of Last Seed, Year 2, Era of Hyreechus
Word has reached me that the church has sent a heavily armed force to find out what has happened to their representatives. I am prepared. I have given a full dose of my potion to everyone under my domain, in preparation for the coming battle. This will make them a formidable force indeed. The change they will undergo will be irreversible, but it is a small price to pay for my greater glory. Once the church force is dispatched, my power will be able to grow beyond this region and challenge the Legion itself.
I am sending some missionaries to the nearest towns and villages on the mainland, to prepare for my expansion. I am giving each of them large enough amounts of my potion to put in the water supplies. The missionaries have been instructed to convert as many as possible by preaching and then put the potions in the water supplies to control the rest.
I go now to watch the destruction of the church痴 force.

15th of Last Seed, Year 2, Era of Hyreechus
It is unthinkable that my victory should be so bittersweet. My army won the day, but not as handily as it should have. I was forced to take command myself, instead of watching from safety. What an evil fate that I was pierced by a stray arrow as I led my army to victory.
I lay now in my lab trying to mix a dose of my cure strong enough to heal my wound, without being so strong as to dull my mind. What is left of my army stands protecting my Cathedral. There they will stand until invaders come or time ends. They no longer have the capacity to think for themselves.
My sole consolation in this dark hour is my missionaries. If they are successful, my spirit will live for all time. Even if my body betrays me.
