The Sap Pump has been installed correctly and is working already. I tested the sap essence from the trunk, and sadly it does not work without a powerful catalyst. It appears the sap needs to be broken down before it's consumption will have any effect upon a human host. Unfortunately the process of breaking down the sap essence requires some equally powerful agents in a purified form in order to be successful. In your absence I tested many different tinctures and found none of them to be successful in breaking down the sap essence. I worked long and hard, and eventually I resorted to using one of my most prized ingredients. Nirnroot. While not very well known to most alchemists, it is a very unusual plant with very interesting qualities. Fortunately for our endeavors It also proves to be the only catalyst I have found to be successful in breaking down the sap essence into a form useable to our mundane bodies. I can tell you the potion thus created is incredibly powerful. The power of the sap invigorates and improves nearly every aspect of your person. My strength, speed, stamina, all improved. It was quite the heady experience.

I believe I have heard of a man named, oh, damn his name escapes me. But it is said he can turn Nirnroot into another potion which is sought after by many adventurers, and depending on how many Nirnroot's you procure for him, the more powerful his potion. I believe if you used any of his potions added to the sap, you would have an Extremely powerful potion capable of transforming you into a demi-god for the duration of the effects. Obviously his most powerful potion would have the most dramatic effect. This is pure conjecture as I have not tested it, so In the event you cannot procure some of his potions, I found that by using one Nirnroot with a Potion of Restore Health, will provide you with a still considerable potion.

Just put the required components into the chest where you found this letter, and the mechanism should instill the potion with the sap. The sap essence should breakdown immediately near the nirnroot, and you will have a new potion ready for your consumption.
