You know there are various metal materials in Tamriel. Iron, Steel, Silver...and so on. And you already know weapons and armors can be melted with my "Box of melting".
Those melted become alchemic materials, which you can deal with as ingredients in alchemy experiment. Of course, an iron weapon changes just an iron material. Materials made up are the same as they used to be. But if you leave a lot of materials in that box, some of those fuse each other and rare materials are sometimes born, each of which is called "Spiritual Silver" and "Damascus Steel". If you find them, I recommend you to keep them. They can be also dealt with as ingredients in alchemy though.
If you get interested in weapons made of those, speak to me and say "Make your special weapon" after you bring the material into my inventory. By the way, remember it. A weapon made of Damascus Steel has so much endurance and very sharp edge. Therefore, it is quite suitable for a blade but can not attack ghosts. Spiritual Silver is a very flexible material. So, it is quite suitable for a bow and can attack ghosts like a common silver weapon. You may also find some essences or stones born except Damascus Steel or Spiritual Silver in that box.
As you see, I can finish weapons made of the above metals. But I'm not good at Armorer because I lack physical strength to extract their essentiality. I can give you enchanted ones, though. If you want those weapons which have their essential power and endurance, go to see Ophelia, who is a member of Chorrol Fighters Guild. She is hanging about in Chorrol. You can find her sitting near the Great Oak in the day time or sleeping in the Guild in the nighttime. She can extract essentiality of the above metals, and can finish all the kind of weapons as well, using materials melted with my box.
