NECROMANCER WAR ENDS!
Leaders of both sides dead!

ejoice and mourn, citizens of the Empire! The war between the Necromancers and the Mages Guild has ended! With the death of The King of Worms, leader of the Necromancers, the remaining vile wizards fled back to their caves and are hunted down by the Mages Guild. This is a grand day for both the Empire and the Guild, but it is also a day when we will remember the fallen.

Indeed, the Mages Guild has lost many sorcerers during this war. Arch-Mage Hannibal Traven sacrificed his life in order to help destroy the King of Worms' power. The Council of Mages has also been deeply affected by the war. Master-Wizard Caranya was in fact a traitor, and had stolen a powerful artifact during the war before fleeing to a secret hideout. Her mischievous plot was discovered and another master-wizard was sent to deal with her and retrieve the artifact.

Irlav Jarol, the Arcane University's father of Ayleid research, was slain by the necromancers. And we cannot forget the Bruma Mages Guild members, who all suffered the undead?s wrath, as well as the many Imperial Battlemages and wizards lost. Servants of the Empire, we shall not forget your sacrifices and will forever remember you as true citizens of the Empire.

Raminus Polus, the Arcane University's representative, confirmed to the Black Horse Courier that a new Arch-Mage has been chosen to take the place of Hannibal Traven. "That mage was the rising star of the University and I'm glad to have this wizard lead and restore the Council of Mages. No one could do a better job right now."

The Black Horse Courier wishes luck to the new Arch-Mage and sends condolences to the families who suffered losses in the Necromancer War.

About the King of Worms

Mannimarco, as known in the history of the Mages Guild, is an ancient lich who has lived a thousand years, according to rumors. We could not gain access to historical documents about him as the Imperial Library and the Arcane University refused to reveal this information. Mannimarco would be one of the main "fathers" of Necromancy in Tamriel.

About Arch-Mage Hannibal Traven

Named in 3E 431 as Arch-Mage, Hannibal Traven re-organized the rules and standards of the Mages Guild. The main restructuration was in the restrictions imposed on necromancy, which led to the resignation of half of the Council of Mages. Hannibal Traven is also the Arch-Mage who closed the Arcane University?s doors to new members unless they obtained recommendations from various Mages Guild halls, thus restricting access to the school of knowledge.
