I think I see a body nearby; it appears to have come from the flooded area. Perhaps I should go for a swim and see if there are any hidden areas further into the cave.

It must have been where the dead Vampire I spotted came from. I should be careful, some of his friends may be nearby and there may be traps awaiting me. It is too early to tell what sort of threat these Vampires are.

I heard rumours of a Cyrodiil clan of Vampires seeking power in the Imperial City but I had no idea they were this organized. Given the age of this city, I would say they must have been here for centuries and must have infiltrated every level of the Empires leadership by now. By the looks of it they have been invaded by a rival clan and seem to be losing the fight. I could help fight off the attackers, better the enemy you know than this barbaric group of invaders.

FormID: 0208DC13 OMGVampireQuest 40 0 It all starts to make sense at last. A Temple to Blood Matron with statues of Clavicus Vile and Molag Bal. Clavicus Vile gave this clan a goal, a need to seek power, where as the attacking Whet-Fang sodality of Black Marsh only seek to satisfy their own blood lust. If they win this fight they will overrun the Imperial City next and go on a killing spree. Before dawn, the Imperial City will be a city of Blood Thirsty Vampires if i do not put a stop to this invasion.

FormID: 0208DC13 OMGVampireQuest 50 0 I found a tunnel leading deeper underground. It appears to be the source of the Whet-Fang Sodality Invasion. I should continue on and see if i can find their leader. Once the head is dead the Invasion should crumble.

No wonder the Cyrodiil Vampire Clan was overrun. The attackers bypassed their defenses; they probably never expected an attack from the rear.

FormID: 0208DC13 OMGVampireQuest 80 0 The Patriarch is dead, any forces he may have left will now be leaderless and the Invasion should crumble. Now the question of what to do about the Cyrodiil Vampires in the city I found comes up, clearly they prevent these Barbaric hordes from overrunning the empire by their very presence, so I could leave them. Or I could wipe them out now and put an end to their evil ways. The choice is mine to make but at least Cyrodiil is safe.
