Dear Ethelys,
First of all please forgive my long silence, but something great happened just recently and I received orders to move from my post in Caldera to a secret location in the Imperial Province.
At last the Emperor is dead! For too long he oppressed our lands in Morrowind and all the Dunmer people! But thank to the Gods our hatred was shared with others and now that the imperials have no one to guide them we'll give them what they deserve!
Yesterday I spoke with General Vlarys, he is from Vvardenfell like me and knows pretty well the meaning of being ruled by those lousy imperials... they infested Morrowind like locusts!
I was ordered to find a fort in Cyrodiil in order to be used as our headquarters. Many more of our soldiers are to come and in a few weeks we'll have the army that is needed to put the imperials where they belong... in the mud!
Soon Morrowind will be a free Province again, long live our General Vlarys Rythandil! May the Gods bless his name!
Now I must leave you, too much work still needs to be done. Give our children a hug and tell them that their father will bring honor and glory to their family name.

長い間手紙を出せず申し訳なく思っている。しかし最近になって状況が大きく変わろうとしているようだ。私もCalderaからImperial地方のとある場所（具体的な位置は書けないが）へと移動するよう指示を受けた。
ついに皇帝が亡くなったな！彼はあまりにも長いあいだ我らMorrowindに住むDunmerの民を抑圧してきた。だが、神は見捨てていなかった。今は志を同じくする仲間に恵まれている。指導者を失ったImperialどもにこれまでの報いを受けさせる時が来たのだ！
昨日、Vlarys将軍とお話をした。将軍も私と同じVvardenfell島出身らしい。そして何より、忌々しいImperialどもの支配を受ける苦しみをよく理解していらっしゃる。まったく奴らと来たら、Morrowindに群がるイナゴのようなものだ！
Cyrodiilにおける指令部として使える要塞を探せとの命令を受けた。これから数週間で多くの友軍が到着し、帝国を屈伏させるに十分な兵力にまで育つのも時間の問題だろう。
Vlarys将軍がご存命でいらっしゃる限り、きっとすぐにMorrowindは自由を取り戻せる。偉大なる将軍に祝福あれ！
お前を置いて故郷を離れなければならないな。しなければならない事は山ほどあるから。子供達を抱き寄せてこう伝えてくれないか？「お父さんは名誉と勝利を土産に帰って来るから」と。
